Before joining Paul Hastings, Deborah Sankowicz was a partner at Latham & Watkins. She received her legal education in France (University of Paris II), in England (Queen Mary and Westfield College, London) and in the United States (LLM New York University). The combination of her studies particularly qualifies her to provide legal services to foreign clients on employment issues.
Deborah Sankowicz acquired over 15 years' experience working with both domestic and global companies. Her experience provides her with a client-oriented perspective, both in counselling and litigation, with the ability to offer creative solutions.
She advises and represents clients in general employment law matters, employment aspects of complex corporate restructuring, bargaining with works councils and trade unions, restructuring and lay-off plans, individual employment matters with a focus on senior management and IT matters, collective disputes, as well as business strategy issues.
She published a number of well-received employment law articles and is a frequent speaker at seminars organised by the EELA, the ABA and XBHR. She also conducts specialised training programmes for clients.
Deborah Sankowicz is listed in Chambers Europe, Legal 500, The International Who's Who of Management Labour and Employment Lawyers, the European Legal Experts and PLC.
