Biography: Management Labour and Employment
Luc Deshaies is a partner in Gowlings' Montreal office, practising in employment and labour law. Luc currently acts as the leader of the employment and labour law practice group.He has, among other activities, acted for employers in collective and individual labour relations and occasionally for managers in dismissal matters. Throughout his practice, Luc has acted before all judicial and administrative tribunals interested in labour matters in the province of Quebec. Over the years, he has advised employers whose main activities are based in Quebec, but also in Canada and abroad, as part of mergers or transfer matters.
He practises in English and French.
Luc lectured in business law at McGill University in the Faculty of Management from 1990 to 1993. He has lectured at the Quebec Bar School on negotiation and representation since 1992.
Luc has been listed as a leading lawyer in several legal industry publications, including The International Who's Who of Business Lawyers, PLC Which Lawyer? Yearbook and Who's Who Legal: Canada.
Luc is a member of the Canadian Bar Association.
