Biography: Product Liability Defence

Archie Reeves is the managing member of McDowell Knight Roedder & Sledge, LLC. He practises in the areas of pharmaceutical and medical device litigation, general product liability litigation and business and commercial litigation throughout Alabama and the Gulf Coast region. He has significant experience in mass tort and class action litigation. He deals frequently with Daubert issues related to scientific evidence. He is a member of the Defense Research Institute and serves as Alabama state liaison and steering committee member for the drug and device section. He is past chair of the drug, device and biotechnology committee of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC). In addition, Mr Reeves represents contractors, architects and engineers in construction litigation.

Mr Reeves is a frequent lecturer and author on trial practice and product liability. He was a faculty member of the 2009 IADC Trial Academy at Stanford Law School.

Mr Reeves graduated from the University of the South, magna cum laude, and the University of Alabama School of Law, where he was a Hugo Black Scholar. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Order of the Coif.
