Biography: Project Finance

Mykola Stetsenko is the managing partner of Avellum Partners, a corporate finance law firm specialising in banking and finance, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, antitrust and restructurings.

Mykola Stetsenko specialises in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and capital markets transactions. Mykola's secondary specialisations include corporate restructurings, project finance, real estate and construction, and hotels, resorts and tourism. He represents international and domestic sellers and buyers in major M&A and private equity transactions, as well as major Ukrainian issuers and investment banks in capital markets transactions. In real estate Mykola represents major international hotel chains and hotel owners in the opening and management of hotels in Ukraine.

Prior to founding Avellum Partners, Mykola worked as a partner at the Kiev office of international law firm Baker & McKenzie. Previously, Mr Stetsenko worked at a number of Ukrainian law firms.

Mykola is admitted to practice law in the State of New York (2005) and in Ukraine (2000).

According to Chambers Europe 2010: 'Market sources single out Mykola Stetsenko as an impressive practitioner'. Mykola Stetsenko was selected by his peers for inclusion in the second edition of the Best Lawyers list for Ukraine in the practice area of capital markets.
