Tim has acted as sole arbitrator, party appointed and institution appointed arbitrator and chair in international arbitrations. He has been counsel in international arbitrations, transborder litigation and boundary disputes. Governments, investors and consortia have retained Tim as an expert in energy arbitrations.
Tim has over 30 years of experience in the international O&G industry where he has been general counsel, special counsel, country manager, finance director, commercial manager, corporate director and economist, working in more than 50 countries. He has been president of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators and other industry organisations. Tim's peers have selected him as one of the leading International Who's Who of Oil & Gas Lawyers and Commercial Arbitrators, where he has been described as the 'go-to-guy for energy disputes' and as a 'true innovator' in international oil and gas law.
Tim has advised governments and industry organisations. He has written and spoken extensively on dispute resolution and energy related matters in North and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
