Mr Iguchi specialises in the field of international arbitration. He is also an expert of international private law, arbitration and investment law and teaches at the law schools of Saint Paul's, Waseda and Keio Universities. He is an active member of the ICC Japan, the Japan Association of Arbitrations (former deputy secretary general), co-chair of Investment Law Division (Japan), Asia International Law Association, and of the Japanese government's investment treaty workforce.
Mr Iguchi is a graduate of Tokyo University (LLB; LLM), Stanford Law School (LLM), and of the legal training provided by the Supreme Court of Japan. He also associated with Taiwanese and the US firms. He is admitted to the Japanese bar and he passed the New York bar. He authored a book entitled Inside the Minds - ADR Clients Strategies in Asia (Aspatore) and a series of articles entitled "Arbitration law and practice in India" (JCA Journal). He is co-author of the Japan chapters of The International Comparative Legal Guide to: International Arbitration 2010/2011, Getting the Deal Through - Dispute Resolution, and Cross-Border Business and Legal Practice (Minjiho Kenkyukai, 2010). He is a leader of IBA Rules on the Taking of Evidence in International Arbitration translation team.
