As a renowned expert in these areas, she has worked on subways, railways, bridges, expressways, airports, ports, docks, water plants, sewage treatment plants, power plants and hazardous waste treatment and in the oil and chemical industry, with particular insight and experience in concession projects in the modes of PPP. Representative projects she advised are CCTV new site, the National Indoor Stadium and the National Museum of China. She has also worked at some of the top Chinese construction companies.
She has represented investors and local governments in the negotiation of concession agreements, assisted them in bond issuance, government sub-loans, financial leasing, trusts, listing and other project financing activities, providing legal support during the whole process from construction to management. She also assisted clients in the introduction of cooperation partners and in the planning of project M&A and listing.
Ms Wang was involved in the drafting and revision of laws and regulations including the construction law, the provisions on the management of construction market, the administration measures on joint venture railways, rules on the construction market and the transit administration regulations of Tianjin municipality. She has delivered lectures to mayors in charge of urban construction and the senior management of large-scale enterprises.
She has participated in property transaction evaluations as a bidding evaluation expert and spoken at the China Rail World Summit. She has presided over and co-heard cases at the CIETAC and other arbitration institutions, where she has accumulated rich experience in arbitration. Her book, China Engineering Construction Project Tendering and Bidding Guide, published by CCH, is recognised by a wide audience. Her latest book - Legal Interpretation of Construction Contract (Model Contract) and Cases - came out in 2009 as the first of its kind to interpret the model contract jointly issued by the Ministry of Construction and the State Administration of Industry and Commerce in 1999 on a case-by-case basis. She also contributed to the China chapter of Getting the Deal Through - Construction 2011.
In addition to construction practice, Ms Wang is also one of the earliest lawyers to engage in the environmental protection, resources and energy areas. She is currently the legal adviser for the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Beijing Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau and the China Environmental Protection Foundation, China's first environmental NGO. She is also among the expert legal panel of the biggest environmental NGO, All-China Environment Federation. She has handled M&A and listing cases on resources including coal, iron ore, phosphor and forest. She currently acts as the deputy director of the environment and resource law committee of All China Lawyers Association.
