Brad has extensive experience advising exploration and production companies on joint operating agreements, unitisation agreements, farm out agreements, production sharing contracts and concession agreements, drilling agreements and gas and LNG sale and purchase agreements. He is currently representing several leading exploration and production companies in connection with their activities in Indonesia, Brunei, Malaysia and Vietnam.
Brad frequently acts on high profile, complex transactions. His most recent work includes advising Indonesia's largest independent exploration and production company, PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk's (Medco Energi) US$2.8 billion Donggi-Senoro LNG project in Central Sulawesi, which is the first joint LNG project between Japan, Korea and Indonesia, which involves Korea Gas Corporation, Mitsubishi Corporation, Medco Energi, and PT Pertamina (Persero). Brad also advised Medco Energi and PT Pertamina (Persero) in connection with the sale of gas from the Senoro-Toili Production Sharing Contract to the project company, PT Donggi-Senoro LNG, which was formed to own and operate the 2 million tonnes per annum liquefaction plant; Medco Energi on the sale of a 20% participating interest in the Senoro-Toili Production Sharing Contract to Mitsubishi Corporation for US$260 million; several of the sponsors of the Tangguh LNG project in Indonesia, in connection with the joint venture agreement and unitisation agreement, which provided for the unitisation of 14.4 trillion cubic feet of proved reserves; Talisman Energy Inc on its acquisition of certain PSC interests offshore Vietnam in the Nam Con Son Basin; and Korea Gas Corporation in connection with its proposed participation in an upstream gas and LNG project in Nigeria.
Brad is internationally recognised as a leading legal expert on energy and project finance matters, and has consistently garnered plaudits for his work, including Euromoney's Guide to the World's Leading Energy & Natural Resources Lawyers (2005 to 2010), Asia Pacific Legal 500 (2006 to 2010), The International Who's Who of Project Finance Lawyers (2009 to 2011), Chambers Global: Leaders in Their Field (2008 to 2010), Asialaw (2009 to 2010) and PLC Which Lawyer (2008 to 2009).
Brad is a graduate of University of Melbourne, Australia, with degrees in laws (first-class honours) and commerce. Brad is admitted to practise in England and Wales.
