After passing the public examination in 1992, Maria Luisa served as a labour judge until her retirement in 2000, initially in the Trial Court as a substitute judge and after March 1994 as a president judge. In September 1996 she was summoned to work as a substitute judge in the Appellate Labour Court, where she worked in four different groups of judges, in the specialised section on individual labour disputes and in the specialised section on collective labour disputes.
Maria Luisa is associated with the Ius Laboris global alliance that brings together leading law firms in labour, benefits, immigration and retirement areas. Veirano Advogados is the Brazilian representative of the alliance that is present in over 45 countries, totalling more than 2,200 professional members worldwide and the head office is in Brussels.
