Gerlind regularly holds seminars both for employment and HR specialists, and at national and international conferences. She has published numerous articles in German and English.
Her professional memberships include being vice chair of cross-border HR (XBHR); co-chair of the employment and industrial relations law committee of the International Bar Association; co chair of the international committee, ERR, of the American Bar Association; member of the American Employment Law Council and of the Labour Lawyers' Advisory Committee of CUE; member of the labour and employment advisory board of the German Federal Bar. She is an advisory board member and lecturer at Cranfield University, UK, for the MBA programme in International Human Resources Management.
Gerlind studied law at the University of Bonn, at the Université de Lausanne (Switzerland) and at Georgetown University (USA). She holds a PhD on 'Disparate impact discrimination cases: USA - Europe'.
