Biography: Construction

Glenn Haley is a partner at Haley & Co in association with Clayton Utz working within the construction and major projects, and international arbitration groups.

Glenn has over 25 years' experience in all aspects of major projects, infrastructure and the construction and engineering sectors. This includes extensive experience in both contentious and non-contentious matters.

Glenn has experience in handling and successfully resolving numerous dispute resolution processes, including litigation, arbitration, adjudication, mediation and amicable negotiation. He has also represented government and semi-government bodies in the implementation of numerous large-scale infrastructure developments, including airports, rail projects, bridges, roads, tunnels, power generation projects and commercial structures.

He is a past chairman of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (East Asia Branch), a member of the Hong Kong Law Society's alternative dispute resolution committee, a member of the Department of Justice's working group to draft Hong Kong's new Arbitration Ordinance and vice chair of Australian Chamber of Commerce's construction property and infrastructure committee.

Glenn has received numerous accolades from leading legal publications, including, AsiaLaw Leading Lawyers, where he was recognised as one of Asia's leading lawyers in dispute resolution and in construction; Asia Pacific Legal 500, recognised as a leading lawyer in the area of construction; Chambers Global, recognised as a leading lawyer in the area of dispute resolution; PLC Which Lawyer, highly recommended lawyer in the area of construction; and Chambers Asia, recognised as a leader in the field of construction.

Glenn has been based in Hong Kong for the past 20 years, handling matters throughout the Asia Pacific region.
