Biography: Competition Economics
Jan Willem is practice leader healthcare and managing partner of strategy and economics at PwC. He is part-time professor of energy economics at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. Jan Willem is specialised in economic consultancy and research in the broader fields of healthcare, energy and telecom and media. His areas of expertise include macro-economic modelling, regulation and competition economics, economic policy impact evaluations, cost-benefit analyses, sector- and market analyses, economic modelling, and business strategy modelling.Over the past 25 years Jan Willem has advised governments, providers, payers, corporates, regulators and international institutions on economic analysis, valuation and strategic issues in several hundreds assignments.
Jan Willem is member of the advisory board of the Nederlandse Zorgautoriteit (NZa, the Dutch Healthcare regulator).
