Thomas has extensive experience of complex merger transactions and has guided numerous clients through European Commission, multi-jurisdictional and German procedures. He also has widespread experience of investigations into anti-competitive practices including EU and national cartel and leniency proceedings.
Thomas is head of the firm's merger skills group. He regularly publishes articles and contributes to leading commentaries on EU antitrust law, and is co-editor of Global Competition Review's Getting the Deal Through: Dominance, a guide to the regulation of dominant firm conduct in 37 jurisdictions worldwide, now in its ninth edition for 2013.
Thomas is a German Rechtsanwalt and was educated at the universities of Bonn, Fordham, NYC and Montpellier. He speaks German, English and French.
