Representative engagements include: defence of corporations, investment advisers and individuals in securities-related investigations involving variety of civil and potentially criminal allegations; representation of a major pharmaceutical company in federal investigation into sales and marketing practices; representation of numerous individuals in federal health-care fraud investigations; and successful representation of individuals and entities in federal public corruption, environmental fraud and government contracting investigations.
Ms Lloyd served as an Assistant US Attorney in Boston from 1997-2001 in the major crimes and economic crimes units. She received numerous awards for excellence from the US Attorney and various federal law enforcement agencies.
Ms Lloyd ranks among the top 50 women Massachusetts Super Lawyers, where she has been listed since 2005. She was elected to serve on the Boston Bar Association Council, and is a member of that organisation's executive committee and former co-chair of its criminal law section.
Ms Lloyd received her JD and MA from New York University in 1989, where she was editor-in-chief of the New York University Law Review. She received her BA, summa cum laude, from St Lawrence University in 1984. Prior to joining Choate, Ms Lloyd served as a law clerk to the Honorable Amalya L Kearse, Second Circuit US Court of Appeals, and worked in private practice at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in Boston.
