From 1971 until 1979, Mr Wohl served as an assistant United States attorney in the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York, where he was appointed deputy chief of the criminal division and, subsequently, chief of the civil division.
Mr Wohl is currently president of the Federal Bar Council. From 1998 to 2002, he served as the chair of the New York City Civilian Complaint Review Board. He has also served as director of the New York Council of Defense Lawyers and the Federal Bar Foundation.
Mr Wohl has appeared on numerous New York City Bar programmes concerning criminal investigations, ethics and related topics. He has also served as a faculty member at numerous trial advocacy programmes sponsored by the National Institute of Trial Advocacy and other groups. Mr Wohl is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Chicago Law School. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
