Biography: Internet & e-Commerce

Martin Kratz leads the IP practice and co-leads the online practice for Bennett Jones focused on IP and technology law for web 2.0, entertainment, communications, pharmaceutical, energy industries.

Martin's experience ranges from working on the formation of Netcom Canada, supporting numerous internet businesses to addressing the needs of social media and Web 2.0 service providers such as Elluminate and their LearnCentral community. He also acts in hundreds of cases of website misuse, content and domain name disputes and efforts at redirection of traffic.

Martin received his BSc in 1981 and his LLB in 1984 from the University of Alberta. He also studied German Civil Law (1986) at Universität Heidelberg. He was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1985.
