Biography: Real Estate

Eric Martin-Impératori joined the firm in 1990, and is specialised in real estate, tax planning, construction law and real estate financing. Eric has been a Gide Loyrette Nouel partner since 1998, and has acquired an extensive experience in project development and land management, town and country planning including CDEC authorisations and construction. Similarly, he has advised international investors on major acquisition and sale transactions as well as their financing. He has also been involved in high-profile litigation relating to planning law, acquisition and financing issues. Eric was admitted to the Paris Bar in 1990.

Recent significant deals include advising MGPA on the acquisition of a real estate complex in Paris; SILIC on the acquisition and construction of two 44,000m2 buildings in Saint-Denis; MGPA and Générale Continentale Investissements on the acquisition off-plan of 32,000m2 of office space and assisting the investor in the off-plan and letting of the entire building and also Groupama Immobilier on major sales and acquisitions of real estate.

Providing advice to Middle Eastern and British investment funds in the negotiation of lease agreements and the restructuring and development of shopping centres in Le Chesnay (Parly 2), Troyes and Roubaix.

Advising Générale Continentale Investissements and Benson Elliot on the construction of a 60,000m2 office building in La Défense; advising Eiffage as the developer of a new stadium in Lille (60,000 seats) and the real estate complex (hotels, restaurants, conference rooms) attached to the stadium. Eric is also advising the Principality of Monaco in connection with various aspects of a project to extend the territory of Monaco out over the sea.
