Mr Queiroz has a broad corporate practice in banking, capital markets (equity, debt, securitisation and investment funds) and M&A transactions. His work involves representing commercial and investment banks, asset managers and investment funds, as well relevant Brazilian and international companies with operations in Brazil. Mr Queiroz has also helped in some of the most important self-regulatory initiatives in Brazil including assistance to the Brazilian Association of Financial and Capital Markets Entities ANBIMA in the preparing of the self-regulatory codes for the securities offerings and investment fund industry.

The main focus of Mr Queiroz's practice is financial markets, including banking and securities regulatory issues, foreign exchange and foreign investment regulation, financial engineering and structured transactions for financial institutions. He has vast experience in all types of securities offerings (equity debt, securitisation and investment funds). Mr Queiroz is very active on M&A transactions involving banks, asset managers and other types of financial entities. His work involves representing commercial and investment banks as well as broker dealers, in opinions on regulatory issues, issuance and underwriting of equity and debt, organisation and acquisitions of financial institutions and negotiation of new regulation with governmental authorities. Mr Queiroz has also helped in some of the most important self-regulatory initiatives in Brazil including assistance to the Brazilian Association of Investment Banks - ANBID in the preparing of the self-regulatory code for the investment fund industry.
Mr Queiroz has represented investment banks in structured transactions and has been very active in the modelling and preparing of regulation for the Brazilian mortgage-backed securities system. Another special type of securitisation in which Mr Queiroz has been extremely involved is the securitisation of receivables originated by financial institutions. In this field, he has worked not only with the structuring of transactions, but also with the regulatory and tax impacts to the originator of receivables.
