Biography: Mergers and Acquisitions

Jesus Sánchez-Ugarte has been involved in a large number of M&A transactions. He advises both Mexican and foreign companies in the acquisition or sale of Mexican businesses.

He has recently participated in some of the largest M&A transactions in Mexico, including the Banorte/Ixe merger and the acquisition of Grupo Tampico by FEMSA.

Mr Sánchez Ugarte received his law degree from the Escuela Libre de Derecho in Mexico City, and a Master of Laws from the University of Columbia in New York City. He is founding partner of Kuri Breña, Sánchez Ugarte y Aznar, SC.

His practice includes mergers, acquisitions, antitrust law, financial transactions, securities, corporate law and commercial arbitration.
