Biography: Banking

Zygmunt Brett is a partner at Arias & Muñoz, specialising in corporate and banking law, capital markets and estate planning. He is ranked as a leading lawyer by Chambers and Partners and IFLR thanks to his ongoing work in managing and coordinating complex domestic and multi-jurisdictional legal projects for major local and international companies in a wide array of industries. His counselling includes structuring, negotiation and execution of complex acquisitions, divestitures and mergers, financial arrangements, corporate and tax planning, and conflict management and resolution.

Zygmunt holds a JD from the Universidad de Salamanca, Spain, a Masters in business administration with honours from INCAE Business School and is authorised as a practising attorney and notary public in El Salvador. He attended Harvard Law School's programme on negotiation (PIL) and Yale University's executive programme on management (MPL). He is a member of the Salvadoran Association of Banking Law, a Senior Member of the Inter-American Bar Association and is member and local Chapter Chair of the New York State Bar Association. Zygmunt is fluent in Spanish and English.
