Ms Chumachenko is a leading lawyer on the issues of labour and family law and possesses an extensive expertise in the sphere of corporate and contract relations, construction and security of obligations. She is also experienced in advising on maritime law, including registration and re-flagging of sea vessels, and has been continually representing companies in litigations and arbitrations. Ms Chumachenko is currently engaged in the issues of contract and labour law, structuring of transactions and various matters related to the legal support of business in Kazakhstan. She is also supervising coordination with the government agencies in the spheres of her specialisation.
Major recent projects with her participation include due diligence of a number of Kazakhstan companies subsoil users and resource-related companies ensuring oil transportation by sea transport, a major pharmaceutical company, catering companies in connection with the alienation of interests or shares in favour of foreign companies; advice to investors in connection with contemplated acquisition of the group of companies carrying out activities in the sphere of nuclear industry; ongoing advice to a major US oil company on the issues of contract, corporate and labour legislation; and advice to international and Kazakhstan companies on the issues of antimonopoly regulation.
Ms Chumachenko graduated in 1991 from the department of law of the Kazakh State University, where she specialised in civil and commercial law.
