Ilya Nikiforov is the managing partner of Egorov, Puginsky, Afanasiev & Partners, a leading national law firm in Russia with offices in Moscow, St Petersburg and an associated office in London.His practice evolves around international arbitration in a capacity of arbitrator, counsel and party representative.
Nikiforov has specific expertise in international business transactions, construction and development projects, intellectual property law. Nikiforov is on the panel of arbitrators with institutions in Russia, Europe and Asia, including WIPO, ICDR, ICAC. Information technology is an area of interest since Nikiforov has a background in computer engineering besides a law degree. An active member of IBA and American Bar Associations, he served as vice chair of Arbitration and Eurasia Committees respectively.
Educated both in Russia and in the US, Nikiforov is often engaged as a Russian law counsel/expert in commercial litigation and international arbitration proceedings. Expert opinions of Mr Nikiforov were accepted by US, English, German, Dutch and French courts.
