Ms Kardono (Yani) has been a member of the editorial board of Capital Asia and has frequently contributed articles to that publication, as well as to Asia Law & Practice. She wrote on the new Indonesian mining laws in Oxford Business Group's Indonesia Report 2008 and authored the Indonesia chapter in Getting the Deal Through - Mining (Global Competition Review, 2005 and 2006). She has also co-authored an ELIPS publication on arbitration, and written on intellectual property in Indonesia.
Yani has been recognised by Asia Law & Practice, Who's Who Legal and The Asia-Pacific Legal 500 as one of the leading lawyers in Indonesia in general corporate practice, capital markets, intellectual property, IT and telecommunications, and labour and employment.
She is a member of the Indonesian Bar Association, the Association of Indonesian Legal Consultants, the Indonesian Association of Capital Market Legal Consultants and the Inter-Pacific Bar Association. She is also a member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia, sitting on the intellectual property rights and mining committees.
She is licensed as a capital markets legal consultant and is an accredited mediator at the Indonesian Mediation Centre (PMN).
Yani graduated in 1984 from the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Parahyangan. In 1993, she participated in the Academy of American and International Law, International and Comparative Law Center, the Southwestern Legal Foundation, Dallas, Texas.
