Mr Wuchenich regularly represents a broad range of alternative asset management firms in the formation and ongoing operation of their private equity and other private investment funds. His recent experience includes the representation of sponsors such as Oaktree Capital Management, Hellman & Friedman, KSL Capital Partners, Platinum Equity, Siris Capital Group and ZelnickMedia. He also has significant experience in structuring the portfolio investments of private equity funds. Mr Wuchenich has been recognised as one of the leading private funds lawyers in the 2010, 2011 and 2012 editions of The International Who's Who of Private Funds Lawyers. He has also represented asset management firms in a variety of strategic transactions. Recent engagements in this area include representing Oaktree Capital Management in connection with its pending initial public offering and its acquisition of a minority stake in DoubleLine Capital LP, and representing Technology Crossover Ventures in its investment in Eladian Partners, LP.
Mr Wuchenich has been with Simpson Thacher since his graduation from Columbia Law School in 1996, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and a member of the Journal of Transnational Law. He received his BA from Bucknell University in 1992 and a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University in 1996.
