Kevin has acted as counsel in over 200 commercial arbitral proceedings conducted under various rules including ICC, LCIA, AAA (ICDR), SIAC, HKIAC, LMAA, JCAA, Uncitral and KCAB. He also has acted as Chairman or arbitrator in ICC, LCIA, AAA (ICDR), SIAC, JCAA, UNCITRAL and KCAB.
Kevin has been recognised by many international publications including Who's Who Legal (2006 to 2011) and Asia-Pacific Legal 500 (2000 to 2011). Particularly significant honours include being recognised by Chambers as a 'Star individual' in Dispute Resolution for Korea (2009 to 2011), the only person ever to receive that particular honour, and being included among the '45 under 45 in International Arbitration' for 2006. Other recent achievements include serving as lead counsel in a case that was recently awarded 'Arbitration Win of the Year 2010' by Global Arbitration Review.
Kevin received his legal education at Seoul National University Law College (LLB, LLB) and Harvard Law School (LLM). He is a part-time professor at the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea, an adjunct professor of law at Seoul National University Law School and Sung Kyun Kwan University Law School. He is an author of a number of publications on international arbitration and litigation practice.
Kevin is qualified in Korea and New York and speaks Korean (native), English (fluent), and Japanese (conversational).
