Biography: Corporate Tax

David Hinds is an English solicitor and partner in the tax group of Sidley's London office. He focuses on tax matters relating to fund formation and fund-related transactions as well as on tax matters relating to corporate transactions. He has extensive experience of the tax aspects of domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, international investment funds and related transactions, initial public offerings, international corporate joint ventures, corporate reorganisations and group restructurings, financing arrangements, intellectual property transactions, employee share incentives and general corporate, commercial and employment related matters. He also has experience in advising individual entrepreneurs on the personal tax aspects of their business affairs and investments.

Mr Hinds is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, former chairman of the British branch of the International Fiscal Association (2007 and 2008) and was a member of the international tax subcommittee of the English Law Society from 1994 to 2002.

Mr Hinds received his LLM in Tax (with first-class honours) from King's College, London, in 1991. He received his MA in Law from Cambridge University (Trinity Hall) in 1976 and his LSF from Guildford College of Law in 1976.
