Biography: Corporate Tax
Markus Weidmann joined Homburger as an associate in 1998 and has been a partner since 2004. He was admitted to practise in 1993 and graduated as Dr iur from the University of Zurich in 1996. He has been a certified tax expert since 2000. Besides his other professional commitments, he has been a judge with the Zurich tax court (Steuerrekursgericht) since 1997.His main areas of work are national and international corporate tax law, tax aspects of reorganisations, capital market and M & A transactions, private equity and venture capital. Markus Weidmann also specialises in tax disputes.
Markus Weidmann has published on national and international tax law; co-author of commentaries on Swiss Merger Act (Basler Kommentar zum Fusionsgesetz, 2004) and on Swiss Collective Investment Schemes Act (Basler Kommentar zum Kollektivanlagengesetz, 2009).
