Biography: Corporate Tax

João Dodsworth Cordeiro Guerra's practice areas include tax, corporate, and M&A.

He is a member of the Brazilian Bar Association and the International Fiscal Association (IFA).

João Dodsworth Cordeiro Guerra is a lecturer at seminars held in Brazil and the US, for example for the Brazilian IFA branch, the Brazilian Bar Association, Magistracy School of Rio de Janeiro, and Getulio Vargas Foundation. He was a national repórter in the 1998 IFA Congress; and an expert witness before the US Tax Court, Washington, DC, Riggs National Corp v Commissioner in 1995. He is the author of several articles on Brazilian taxation, for example, "Income tax foreign hedge transactions" in 1998.

João Dodsworth Cordeiro Guerra was born in Rio de Janeiro, 1945. He attended law school at the State of Rio de Janeiro University in 1968 and was a postgraduate from Getulio Vargas Foundation (1969).
