Peter Altorfer's practice is focused on bank supervisory law, general banking law and estate planning. He regularly represents banks and their customers before courts and Swiss supervisory authorities and is renowned for his banking litigation expertise. His practice also includes larger cases in the area of trust litigation and the execution of estates.

Mr Altorfer attended the executive development programme at the IMD in Lausanne. He entered private practice in 1988 after having served as senior vice president of a major Swiss bank. He is member of the board of directors of several Swiss companies, including publicly listed industry and investment companies as well as foreign and private banks.

Mr Altorfer has been a partner with Wenger & Vieli since 2000. He is a member of the IBA, Swiss and Zurich Bar Associations and the IMD International.
