He has considerable experience in drafting deeds of appointment of receiver/managers, mortgages, leases and joint ventures agreements, etc. He acts as counsel representing financial institutions, corporate organisations, governmental agencies and multinational companies on matters relating to winding-up petitions, bankruptcy, receivership, mergers and acquisition and business turnaround at the high court and appellate courts in Nigeria.
He is currently acting as solicitor to the receiver/manager appointed by a consortium of banks in Nigeria (First Bank of Nigeria plc, Union Bank Plc, Afribank plc, Bank PHB plc, Unity Bank plc, and UBA plc) for the recovery of 1.2 billion naira owed by a Nigerian construction company. He is also acting as counsel to a notable bank in Nigeria for the recovery of debt of over 3 billion naira owed to the bank by struggling companies. He has also acted as counsel to an automobile company in respect of an action relating to an order of appointment of receiver/manager over the company's business.
Ola is a member of Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria (BRIPAN) and INSOL International. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK and Nigeria, as well as an active member of the Nigerian Bar Association.
