As the firm's founding and senior partner, he has been involved in a plethora of general corporate transactions, and has developed particular specialisations in oil and gas, mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions.
In the course of his legal practice, he has been invited to advise and participate in legal and regulatory reviews as well as the review of public policy and implementation of reform programmes across several sectors of the Nigerian economy, including petroleum and solid minerals, industrial policy as well as revenue allocation and fiscal issues. He has served on several national committees and is currently the non-executive chairman of the Nigerian Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
A former legislator, Senator Udoma has held a number of public positions, such as Chief Whip of the Nigerian Senate and Special Adviser to the Federal Minister of Petroleum Resources.
He serves on the board of several companies and was recently appointed as the non-executive chairman of Nigeria's largest conglomerate.
He recently led a team from the firm that provided advice to the government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in connection with the structuring and establishment of a Sovereign Wealth Fund that drafted the enabling legislation that established the Nigerian Sovereign Investment Authority.
