Biography: Arbitration

Eduardo Zuleta leads the practice in international arbitration, international litigation, foreign investment protection and international law. Mr Zuleta has been chair, co-arbitrator, sole arbitrator and counsel in international commercial arbitration arbitrations under ICC, UNCITRAL and ICDR Rules in matters involving private and State parties and related to construction, gas, infrastructure, utilities, distribution, commercial contracts in general and project finance. He has also acted as chair, arbitrator and advisor in investment arbitration under ICSID and UNCITRAL Rules. In local and international litigation, Mr Zuleta has acted as counsel and expert in matters related to international law, tort, commercial contracts, public contracts, distribution and agency and utilities.

Mr Zuleta is a member of the panel of arbitrators appointed by the chairman of the administrative council of ICSID. He sits as vice-chair of the IBA arbitration committee, as chair of the Americas Initiative of ITA and as a member of the ICC Latin American Group.

Mr Zuleta holds a JD from Universidad del Rosario and a Diploma in International Dispute Resolution from University of London, Queen Mary. He has been a professor in international contracts and international dispute resolution and is the author of several publications in international arbitration, as well as co-editor on a book on the New York Convention. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
