Martin Nedelka is a member of the Czech, Slovak and Brussels (B-list) bar associations, and studied law at the Universities of Prague (MA; PhD), Regensburg (LLM) and Dublin (LLM). Prior to joining Schoenherr in 2009, he worked for the Prague and Brussels office of the leading German law firm Gleiss Lutz, where he was made a partner in 2003. In 2000, Martin Nedelka was an associate in the Brussels office of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton.
In competition law, Martin Nedelka advises clients in all aspects of Czech, Slovak and EC competition law, in particular merger control, investigations of alleged cartels and abuse of dominance cases. In regulatory matters, Martin has gained broad experience, particularly in the area of energy and telecommunications. In recent years he has been involved in various headline cross-border transactions covering the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Martin Nedelka has authored articles on competition, EU law, telecommunications and energy law.
