Eduardo Soto has several years of experience in different aspects of employment and labour law, litigation and legal advice, including labour and employment issues in mergers and acquisitions, business transfers, IPO's, international secondments and issues involving senior managers and directors. Eduardo's expertise encompasses the creation or adaptation to local laws of global compensation plans for senior personnel and executives, or both, including a variety of benefits such as performance bonus, profit sharing, stock options and stock awards plans, etc.

His solid academic history is comprised of a LLB from Mackenzie University (Sao Paulo, 1998), complemented by prestigious postgraduate studies in Brazil, including: expert in Labour Law and Procedural Labour Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Sao Paulo (2001); expert in Corporate Law from Mackenzie University (Sao Paulo, 2003), and expert in Management Labour Law from the Getulio Vargas Foundation (2004).

His academic background is complemented by international studies, which include a postgraduate course in European Union Law from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain, 2009); expert in Spanish Law from the Universidad de Alcalá (Spain, 2010); and a Master's in Corporate Law from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain, 2011).

As a result of his international expertise (both professional and academic) Eduardo Soto became a member of the Portuguese Bar Association (Lisbon section), and the Spanish Bar Association (Madrid section), with the option of practising as a lawyer in all countries of the European Union, according to the European Union regulations, which is an important differential on his assistance to international clients.

The experience obtained from consultancy services provides him with a client-oriented perspective of litigation, especially on highly complex cases, which go beyond the simple boundaries of the lawsuit itself. Eduardo also has an important expertise on special issues, such as corporate pension plans and their regulation, collective disputes and all aspects of labour negotiation (with employees, unions and executives).

Eduardo Soto is also a member of the Brazilian Bar Association, and member of other important associations such as: Sao Paulo's Lawyers Association, São Paulo's Labour Lawyers Association, Spanish Lawyers Association (AEDTSS), Employment Lawyers Association (London), the European Employment Lawyers Association, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Sao Paulo, and the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in Madrid. Eduardo is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
