Klaus Haft, attorney and physicist (diploma degree), is a founding partner of Reimann Osterrieth Köhler Haft, a law firm specialised in litigation, arbitration and counselling exclusively in the field of intellectual property, with an extensive litigation practice at all relevant national courts, the German and the European Patent Office as well as the European Court of Justice.

He has been specialising in patent law for more than 15 years and is viewed by his peers as an exceptional patent litigator, which is mirrored by numerous rankings in the major directories.

Klaus Haft advises in patent infringement litigation and subsequent litigation regarding damages in the entire area of intellectual property law, particularly in the fields of patents, know-how and designs. His particular focus is on standard related litigation (including 3G, 2G, various ITU recommendations, MPEG, MP3, JPEG), electronics and optoelectronics (including microchips, LEDs and storage devices), electrics (including power plants, wind energy and electrical grids, automobile, as well as antenna technology), software, and general mechanics. He has significant experience in coordinating and planning multi-jurisdictional patent litigation and has participated in many international patent litigations in some of the most sensational cases, especially in the telecommunications sector. He can draw on well-established contacts with highly rated IP litigators in all relevant jurisdictions.
