Mr Greenwald is co-author of the comprehensive treatise Testimonial Privileges (ThomsonReuters 2012), and co-editor of Privilege and Confidentiality: An International Handbook (Bloomsbury 2012). He has served as the co-chair of the ABA's international and reinsurance subcommittees, and he is an active member of the IBA's insurance, litigation and arbitration committees, AIDA-Europe's Reinsurance Working Party, and of ARIAS. He has lectured and written frequently on insurance and reinsurance coverage law, and on ethics, e-discovery, and the attorney-client privilege and work product doctrine in the United States and their analogues in non-US jurisdictions.
For seven years, Mr Greenwald was the president of Mwangaza, a non-profit organisation that supports health-related projects for physically disabled children in Tanzania and other developing countries. He graduated, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School (1986); and cum laude from Georgetown University (1983).
