Mr Velozo has vast experience in litigation, criminal law, bankruptcy, intellectual property litigation and infringements, with a strong practice in white-collar crime, and is recognised as a litigator on the rise.
Mr Velozo also excels in extradition cases. In this area, he has defended numerous individuals, most notably the former president of Argentina, Carlos Menem, and the former president of Peru, Alberto Fujimori.
He graduated from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile 1997, and has since then participated in courses including: Criminal Procedure Reform at Pontificia Universidad Católica (2005); Legal studies at Edinburgh University, Scotland (2004); Prevention and Control at Law School, Pontificia Universidad Católica (1996); and seminars in Political Law Issues, Chile's Institutional Crisis (1993) and the National Policy and Plan for Substance Abuse.
Besides his active performance as a litigator, Mr Velozo has been professor of Criminal Law at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, Universidad Católica de Chile, Universidad Santo Tomás and Universidad Finis Terrae.
Mr Velozo is a member of the Global Advertising Lawyers Alliance (GALA), the International AntiCounterfeiting Coalition (IACC) and the Intenational Bar Association (IBA).
