Yuen-Yee Cho is a partner in the banking and finance group of Mallesons Stephen Jaques. She specialises in leveraged/acquisition financings, project/infrastructure finance and general corporate finance. Yuen-Yee has been a partner in Mallesons' Sydney office since 2001.

Recent matters include acting for CVC in its acquisition of 65 per cent of the Stella Travel group (2008), advising the banks in the A$5.7bn (US$5.3bn) CVC/PBL Media transaction (2007), acting for KKR in financing its A$1.8bn acquisition of BIS Cleanaway (2006), advising the private equity consortium in its bid for Coles (2006), acting for Sydney Airport on its A$3.2bn, A$200m and A$3.6bn refinancings (2004 to 2006), advising the banks in the Lihir Gold refinancing and gold hedge restructure (2005), and advising the WestLink Motorway consortium on the A$2.3bn Western Sydney Orbital tollroad project (2003).

Yuen-Yee has been ranked a leading practitioner in banking and finance/acquisition finance in Chambers' Global Guide to the Legal Profession 2008, the inaugural Best Lawyers in Australia 2008, PLC Which Lawyer and Asian Legal Business's Legal Who's Who.

Yuen-Yee has a combined bachelor of economics/bachelor of laws (hons I) degree from the University of Sydney and a bachelor of civil law (hons I) from Oxford University. She was a board member of the Banking & Financial Services Law Association of Australia and New Zealand from 2002 to 2006.
