Andrzej Kmiecik is a partner at Van Bael & Bellis, a law firm with offices in Brussels and Geneva. He received an MA from Merton College, Oxford University, studied law at the College of Law in London and was awarded a diploma in European law from the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium.

Andrzej Kmiecik specialises in all aspects of competition law and has considerable experience in merger control proceedings and cartel cases, as well as distribution, pricing and intellectual property matters. He represents clients before the European Commission and the European courts, as well as in national competition law proceedings. His practice covers a wide range of industrial sectors, including aerospace, automobiles, pharmaceuticals, forest products, office equipment, petro chemicals, clothing and footwear.

Andrzej Kmiecik is a contributor to the fourth edition of Van Bael & Bellis's Competition Law of the European Community (2004) and he lectures and speaks frequently at conferences on competition law topics.
