Biography: Private funds

Gilles Dusemon co-heads the investment management practice of Loyens & Loeff, Luxembourg. He specialises in structuring alternative funds, with a special focus on private equity, property and hedge funds. His areas of expertise include general corporate law, investment funds and taxation.

Gilles is a member of several working groups within ALFI, the Luxembourg Investment Funds Association, and co-chairs the private equity and venture capital working group. He is a regular speaker at international seminars, addressing international fund structuring topics, in particular.

He has worked in the Luxembourg and New York offices of an international law firm and has been legal and tax counsel within the ALFI.

Gilles completed his law studies (economic and business law) in 1996 at the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis (France). He also obtained an LLM in international taxation at New York University, New York (class of 2000).
