Biography: Mergers and Acquisitions
John Bellew specialises in all aspects of private equity and venture capital, including fund formation and transactional advice, mergers and acquisitions, including local and cross-border transactions, local and international taxation, exchange control, project and structured finance and capital markets.Mr Bellew was admitted to practise as an attorney and notary in 1989. He is a member of the WWB management board.
He attained a BCom (1983) and LLB cum laude both from the University of Natal, and a UNISA Tax Certificate with distinction (1986). He was seconded to WWB associate firm Maitland & Co in Luxembourg between 1990 and 1991.
