Bill Finnegan is a partner in the corporate section of Vinson & Elkins.

Mr Finnegan's practice focuses on various corporate and securities transactions on both a national and international basis, including: representing issuers and underwriters in public and private offerings of equity and debt securities, including MLPs; negotiating and structuring asset and stock acquisitions; the formation and financing of joint venture and partnership transactions; and advising on general corporate and securities transactions.

Mr Finnegan has been recognised by Chambers USA: America's Leading Business Lawyers for corporate and M&A law, 2005-2008; The Best Lawyers in America for corporate, M&A, and securities law, 2005-2006. 2008; and in Texas Monthly as a "Texas Super Lawyer" in securities and corporate finance law, 2005-2007, and in publicly held companies law, 2004. He was also the recipient of the "BTI Client Service All-Star Team for Law Firms" client nomination in 2005 and 2008.

Mr Finnegan graduated from the University of Texas, BBA in 1978; and the University of Houston, JD in 1981.
