Biography: Patents

James P Bradley is the managing partner of Sidley's Dallas office. Mr Bradley has over 30 years of experience in trying intellectual property cases in district courts and before the International Trade Commission. He focuses his litigation practice on patents. Mr Bradley's litigated patent cases have involved a variety of technologies, including semiconductor devices, semiconductor process technology, telecommunications, oil drilling apparatus, metal detectors and medical devices.

Mr Bradley served as a trial lawyer in the US Navy's Judge Advocate General Corps from 1970 to 1974. He is a Life Fellow of the Dallas and Texas Bar Foundations, a Fellow of the American Inn of Court LVI and a Research Fellow of the Center for American and International Law. He is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) and the Licensing Executives Society (LES). Mr Bradley has authored several articles on patent law and has lectured on patent litigation strategy at the national conferences of the AIPLA and LES.

Mr Bradley received his JD from Southern Methodist University and also received both a BS in Electrical Engineering and a BA from the University of Notre Dame.
