Hydee Feldstein regularly represents investment banks, financial institutions, funds and other lenders in the areas of strategic, corporate and commercial finance, creditors' rights, workouts and bankruptcies.

She also has substantial expertise in representing borrowers in structuring and documenting senior secured, second lien, unsecured and subordinated financings, and bridge loans in connection with strategic corporate transactions including acquisitions, mergers, recapitalisations, public offerings, restructurings, and debtor in possession and exit facilities. Ms Feldstein also regularly advises clients on corporate governance and fiduciary issues in insolvency-related restructurings.

Recent transactions on which Ms Feldstein has advised include: Payless ShoeSource, Inc in its $1.2 billion financing for the acquisition of Stride Rite Corp (announced); TXU Corp in connection with financing issues in the $45 billion public to private acquisition of this Texas utility (announced); Morgan Stanley Senior Funding Inc as co-lead arranger, sole book runner and agent in its $135 million secured financing for James River Coal Co; Chrysalis Capital Partners LP and Lubert-Adler Partners LP in their going private acquisition, together with Kohlberg & Co LLC, of Central Parking Corp, for approximately $730 million; successful bidder and borrower in $1.7 billion financing provided by Barclays and Dresdner for the acquisition of Duquesne Light by Macquarie Securities; and ESCO Corp in connection with $410 million financing consisting of revolver, and fixed and floating notes.

Ms Feldstein joined Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in January 2006. She graduated from Columbia Law School (JD, 1982), where she was a member of the Columbia Law Review and a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and from Swarthmore College (BA, 1979).
