Biography: Management Labour and Employment

Linda Ottinger Headley is a shareholder in the Houston office of Littler Mendelson, and a director on the firm's board. She represents employers in all labour and employment-related matters, with an emphasis on workplace harassment, workplace privacy, all types of discrimination, traditional labour, FLSA collective actions, restrictive covenants, unfair competition and trade secrets. Headley litigates in federal and state courts and participates in administrative proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. She also counsels employers on issues involving federal and state employment and labour laws.

Headley is a member and past chair of the labor and employment section of the Texas State Bar. She is also a member of the ABA's employee rights and responsibilities committee of the labor and employment section, the Houston Bar Association and the labor and employment section of the Houston Bar. She serves on the Fifth Pattern Jury Charge Committee for Employment Law and serves as the co-chair for the Associated General Contractors Employment Law Committee.

Headley was selected as one of Texas' Top 50 Female Super Lawyers for 2003 and 2004 in Law & Politics and Texas Monthly surveys. She has been listed in the Best Lawyers in America publication since 2001 under Labor and Employment Lawyers, and in the Chambers USA Survey of America's Leading Business Lawyers since its inception. Additionally, she was selected by Texas Lawyer in 2001 as one of 16 "go-to" labour and employment lawyers in Texas.
