Kevin Lewis is a partner in Vinson & Elkins' corporate finance and securities group and a co-chair of the firm's corporate governance and compliance group. Mr Lewis has practised in Houston, Singapore, and New York City.

Mr Lewis's clients include boards of directors, audit and special committees, oilfield service companies, private equity firms and their portfolio investment companies, major commercial airlines, financial institutions, developers and owners of infrastructure projects, and other energy industry companies. He has significant experience in capital markets financings, and represented a major commercial airline in the largest-ever IPO for a US airline. He has extensive experience in venture capital transactions, private placements, mergers and acquisitions, and other structured financings. He has represented developers and lenders in numerous infrastructure projects, including the Corridor Project, Project Finance magazine's 1997 Indonesian Deal of the Year.

Mr Lewis has been recognised by The Best Lawyers in America (corporate law, international trade and finance law), by Legal Media Group in its Guide to the World's Leading Lawyers in the areas of project finance, securitisation and energy, and as a 'Texas Super Lawyer' by Texas Monthly (securities and corporate finance law). He has authored articles on qualified legal compliance committees, on capital markets financing for emerging country infrastructure projects, and spoken on transforming the roles of general counsel and legal departments.

Mr Lewis obtained his JD from Harvard Law School in 1986 and his BA from Yale University in 1983. He served as a judicial clerk to The Honorable Jerre S Williams, US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and is admitted to practise in Texas and New York.
