Paul Martin's practice focuses on real estate and general business transactions. His experience includes representation of a wide variety of clients engaged in many types of real estate, financing and other business transactions, as well as institutional lenders in the acquisition and disposition of commercial property of all product types and the restructuring of existing credit facilities. Mr Martin also has experience in commercial leasing, lease disputes, general corporate representation and long-term health care acquisitions and lending. He currently represents several large nationwide developers and property managers in various leasing, lending, workout and sale transactions.

Mr Martin is the head of the Dallas real estate group's leasing practice. This group represents institutional landlords and tenants across the country. Mr Martin is a regular speaker on leasing issues, including drafting, negotiation, and disputes with respect to landlord/tenant relationships.

As a result of his years of experience, Mr Martin has been recognised by The Best Lawyers in America as a leader in real estate law, 2004-2007; and by Chambers USA: America's Leading Business Lawyers as a leader in real estate law, 2006 and 2007. Texas Monthly recognised Mr Martin as a 'Texas Super Lawyer' in real estate law, 2006; and in 2007, D Magazine listed him as one of the 'Best Lawyers in Dallas' in commercial real estate law. Additionally, in 2003, Mr Martin received the Archon Group Accolade Award for Outstanding Legal Representation.

Mr Martin obtained his BA with highest honours in 1988 from Stanford University, and his JD with honours in 1991 from the University of Texas.
