Biography: Commercial Litigation

William Conlon, a partner, has extensive trial and appellate experience including jury and bench trials as well as administrative proceedings in state and federal courts throughout the country. Representative issues have included antitrust, ERISA, securities laws, banking and bank regulatory issues, telecommunications, product liability, insurance and insurance regulatory issues, utilities law, and a variety of complex commercial individual and class action cases.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr Conlon served as an assistant United States attorney in Chicago. While at the United States attorney's office, he was involved in criminal investigations and prosecutions as well as the trial and appeal of a wide variety of civil cases, including class actions. Mr Conlon also served as chief of the Civil Division of the United States Attorney's Office. Mr Conlon is a member of the firm's executive committee.

Mr Conlon was a member of University of Illinois Law Review and has been a co-author of several articles. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. Mr Conlon served as chairman of the Illinois Judicial Inquiry Board 1992-1997. He was a member and chairman of the Illinois State Board of Ethics from 1982-1988, and has served as adjunct professor at Northwestern University Law School.
