Neal Moglin is a partner in Lovells' worldwide Insurance and Reinsurance Group. Neal's practice focuses on helping life/accident and health and property/casualty companies resolve disputes involving their reinsurance contracts.
Neal regularly represents insurers and reinsurers both in the US and abroad in litigation and arbitration involving issues such as: adequacy of disclosures, contract interpretation and coverage, letters of credit, and fraud. Neal's non-contentious practice includes advising clients on contract wording and product design, due diligence reviews relating to mergers and acquisitions, and exit strategies for troubled books of business.
A frequent speaker at conferences and seminars, Neal is the current co-chair of Mealey's Insurance Insolvency and Reinsurance Roundtable. Recent articles published by Neal include, "And Now for Something Completely Different: What your English Colleagues Already Know about Mediating Reinsurance Disputes"ᅡᄅ (Arias Quarterly, 2007, with Dan Sails and Jan Schroeder); "Achieving Certainty in an International Marketplace" (Journal of Reinsurance, 2007, with Dan Sails); and "International Arbitration: Achieving Uniformity on the Global Stage" (In Brief, November 2002, with Simon Nesbitt).
Neal received his undergraduate degree and law degree, with honours, from Vanderbilt University where he was a contributing editor to the Vanderbilt Law Review.
