Kimball Anderson is a veteran trial lawyer with 29 years of experience at Winston & Strawn, where he is a senior partner, general counsel of the firm, and a member of the firm's executive committee. He has a national trial practice concentrating on the areas of professional liability, product liability, patent and trademark infringement, class actions and insurance coverage.Mr Anderson is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. As national and local counsel to Fortune 100 companies, he has tried many cases to verdict in state and federal courts around the country, and has argued cases before the United States Supreme Court. Mr Anderson is recognised as one of America's Leading Lawyers for Business in Chambers USA 2005, as a Leading Lawyer by the Leading Lawyers Network, and as a 'Top 100 Illinois Super Lawyer' in Chicago Magazine. In 2005, he was elected as a laureate of the Illinois Academy of Lawyers.
Mr Anderson is involved in alternative dispute resolution as an advocate, an arbitrator, and a mediator. Mr Anderson also is a distinguished neutral for the CPR Institute for Dispute Resolution, the country's leading nonprofit alternative dispute resolution organisation. He is recommended in Euromoney's Guide to the World's Leading Experts in Commercial Arbitration.
Mr Anderson was honored as the Person of the Year by Chicago Lawyer magazine in 1996 and received the ABA's Pro Bono Publico Award in 2003.
Mr Anderson is a 1977 graduate of the Unversity of Illinois College of Law where he graduated first in his class, summa cum laude, Order of the Coif, and served as editor of the Law Review. He also is a certified public accountant in the state of Illinois.
